Dungarvan Hog Roast
The centre piece and main attraction of the popular Dungarvan Food Festival was the Hog Roast. I chose a vertical format so as to include the colour and smoke from the log fire. As with most of my paintings the main figure was brushed in loosely to prevent the figure becoming static. This same impressionist brushwork was applied in varying qualities throughout the painting.
